Sometimes you need a super quick, easy inexpensive snack or dessert, and this one does the trick. All for a couple of bucks. Make them and eat them up, or put them in the fridge for later.
I prefer tart apples so I used Granny Smiths, but feel free to use whatever you enjoy! I would recommend keeping them in the fridge before using.
For granola, pick something that doesn’t have a lot of extras (ie. fruit, nuts, etc) – I used “(Not So) Vanilla Granola” – or use chopped nuts.
Finally, if you’re not in the mood for chocolate, you can use peanut butter. Be creative!
Ingredients
- 2 Apples, Sliced
- 1/2 Cup Granola
- 1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet (non-dairy) Chocolate Chips
Method
Step 1
Slice the apples into spears.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. Keep a close eye to not burn the chocolate. It's easy to do!
Step 3
Dip the top of the slices lightly into the chocolate, then the granola. Put on a plate and enjoy, or throw in the refrigerator to chill.
