I would love to know which milk substitutes Dr. Gregor would come up with that are the healthiest.

Not sure which one the Dr. recommends, but the ONLY nut milk brand I’ve found that is free of additives, emulsifiers and thickeners is made by Elmhurst 1925. It’s simply made, cold pressed and no belly ache. They have cashew, hazelnut, Walnut and almond. They are all reeeeaaally good and you can have it shipped monthly if you end up liking it.

Did you know the SILK brand is owned by a company called Whitewave who was recently purchased by Danone – one of the worlds largest dairy companies…..just saying

Are you concerned about soy? I generally go with almond or coconut milk but I don’t drink it alone. Thanks for this.

I have recently switched to Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. 0%sugar, 45%calcium, 50%vitE. It is my first move away from cows milk and I really like it! Have just decided to go to a plant based diet…wish me luck!! 😉

That’s the same almond milk that I use!. I have tried several different brands and several different types of milk alternatives and this was by far the best!

Just make sure theres no other additives.. as flavoured milks tend to contain sweeteners or other chemicals even if no sugar.

Do you have any advice on switching kids to vegan? We just started thinking of going vegan after watching What The Health. We have 3 kids and the thought of them not eating deli meats and cheese is freaking me out!

I love the Califia Farms. I drink coffee and have substituted it for half and half. I only use unsweetened milks. The Almond/Cocount Blend is amazing. I also like their Unsweetened Vanilla Almond. Yum. Sprouts brand Hemp Unsweetened Vanilla is pretty dope too.

Thanks for the review! I use the original Ripple to make lattes every morning, I really do think it’s the closest to cow milk as I just started a WFPB lifestyle about a month ago.
