Homemade blueberry banana bread must be one of everyone’s favorites treats! It’s simple and sweet, spongy and, the best part, it’s super easy to make!
Easy Blueberry Banana Bread: Budget and zero-waste friendly!
This recipe is not only super easy and quick to make but it’s also super wallet and eco-friendly. The ingredients are super easy to get and you can get almost all of them from bulk stores (or bulk sections at your local grocery store!) and you get to use those overripe bananas you never got to freeze! Win-win!
Another plus (as if we need another one!) is that you can keep your used marmalade glass containers or other disposable containers to take them with you when you go bulk shopping! No need to buy those beautiful mason jars (although you can try and find some at thrift stores for a few pennies!) you can always reuse what you already have or what you would throw away. Amazing!
Let’s Talk Bananas!
Ok, bananas are a whole world of its own. The amount of plant-based healthy recipes you can make with them is endless. Banana ice-cream (or nice cream), smoothies and smoothie bowls, peanut butter toast with banana slices on top, banoffee pie… ok, that one is not very healthy but surely is delicious! Get the idea? Bananas are so versatile and full of nutrients!
If you love them as much as I love them then you need to have a good stockpile every week and freeze some, eat some at snack and let others ripe to make this delicious banana bread.
If you go to your local discount shop (like discount grocer or grocery outlet) and buy a few bags of them. They can be so cheap! Go bananas for bananas!
