Sweet Fresh Mint Tisane

Hardly a recipe, this is a simple how-to for a  refreshing summertime beverage. I used apple mint from our garden and a little sugar, so the whole recipe just cost a few pennies.



  • 1 C. packed fresh mint leaves (from about 10 mint stems)
  • 1/3 C. sugar
  • 6 C. boiling water



Step 1

In large pitcher, combine mint leaves and water. Pour boiling water over the top.

Step 2

Stir with a spoon briskly until sugar is dissolved. Allow to steep 30 minutes.

Step 3

Strain to remove mint leaves. Serve hot or iced.
