Spicy Tomato Basil Pasta

This quick and easy Spicy Tomato Basil Pasta will fill you up nicely with its wholesome ingredients and its perfect blend of spicy, savory, and fresh flavors! 


– 16 oz pasta of choice – 2 Tbsp of pressed garlic – 1 tsp of red pepper flakes – 3 Tbsp of olive oil – 8 oz of mushrooms sliced – ½ C of fresh basil sliced into shreds – ½ C of spinach sliced into shreds – 14.5 oz of canned diced tomatoes – 3-5 Roma tomatoes deseeded and diced – Salt & pepper to taste

Cook pasta according to package instructions. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes in oil on medium-high heat until almost golden.

Add mushrooms and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add basil and spinach, sauté for another minute or so.

Add canned tomatoes, stir, and heat for about a minute. Add fresh tomatoes, stir, and heat through for about a minute. Turn the heat low until ready to serve and gently mix the pasta in the sauce.
