Ingredients
3Tablespoonsof neutral vegetable oil
14ouncesof extra firm tofu, pressed and cut into triangles
Ground black pepper, to taste
Salt, to taste
2teaspoonsof liquid maple syrup or agave
Instructions
In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the oil.
Add the tofu triangles, then coat the top with a healthy covering of ground black pepper, a sprinkle of salt, and the sweetener.
Allow the bottom to become golden before flipping, about 3 minutes. Flip and repeat until both sides are golden.
Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
