Roasted cinnamon almonds takes the classic almond to a new level, with just three simple add-ons and an oven. Baked cinnamon spiced almonds have the perfect hint of sweetness and savory spice for a satiating bite. Munch on these as a crunchy snack, or add to cereal, oatmeal, granola, smoothie bowls, salads, or even desserts for an instant crunch and flavor boost!
Preheat oven to 325 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Place almonds in a medium bowl. In a separate smaller bowl, whisk together the cinnamon, allspice, and maple syrup and pour into the almonds. Mix well.
Evenly spread the almonds on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before eating.
Notes
Spread out the almonds: Make sure to place the nuts in a single layer evenly spread on the baking pan. If you are making a double batch, use a second pan or bake in batches.
Adjust baking time, as needed: Take note that baking time will depend on what type of oven you are using. So start checking on the baked cinnamon almonds at the 12-minute mark to see if they are good to go.
Add flavor: You can add vanilla extract to the mixture for more flavor and fragrance.
Add salt: If you want to add pops of saltiness to your baked cinnamon almonds, sprinkle some sea salt after baking while the candy coating is still moist.
Let them cool: The nuts will still be sticky after roasting them in the oven, so make sure to let them cool down and harden on the baking pan before moving them to a container or jar.
