Hi Toni. Great to chat with you at Animal Place yesterday! Here’s a link to the Veggie RX program I mentioned I was volunteering with: http://freshapproach.org/veggie-rx/. Here’s a link to the organization that started it that provides a lot more info: http://wholesomewave.org/fvrx/. Hope to see you at Animal Place again in the near future. Going to start getting up there to do some volunteering soon. Lisa

Eating a whole foods, plant-based diet has changed my life. I’ve been sticking with it for over 3 years now. Doing it on a “budget” is an essential part of living for me, as all too often on past diets would I run low on money because I was spending too much. One of the key methods for saving money has been growing my own food in my backyard garden. It costs some money up front, but I have been maintaining it for years and save a whole lot these days. I often get too many fruits and vegetables that I end up giving a lot away to friends and family!
