Why You’ll Love this Frozen Banana Dog Treats Recipe!

If you think hot summer days are difficult for us, imagine being covered in fur and not being able to do anything about it. Pets are part of the family, so we want to keep them as comfortable and healthy as possible! That’s why I came up with these quick and easy dog treats that will instantly give them a cooling relief from the sweltering heat.
These treats use just a few wholesome dog-friendly ingredients like natural peanut butter, bananas, and berries, plus Fruitables baked treats. Fruitables Baked Treats use wholesome and organic superfoods flavored with pumpkin, apples, blueberries, bananas, sweet potatoes, pecan, and cranberries. They are super tasty and fragrant and are formulated using CalorieSmart nutrition, making them guiltless treats that you can feed to your pets anytime!
I dunked them into a homemade peanut butter banana yogurt mix and froze them to give your doggies a refreshing reward for being the good pets they are!
Ingredients You’ll Need

- Peanut Butter: Use only natural peanut butter and make sure it does not contain an artificial sweetener called Xylitol, which can be very dangerous to dogs. Find organic brands that are better, not just for pets, but for your whole family too.
- Bananas: Are great doggie treats because they are low in calories and high in fiber and vitamins. This will also make the Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats super creamy and naturally sweet.
- Berries: You can use fresh or frozen berries of your choice. This is optional but will add great flavors to the dog treats!
- Fruitable Baked Treats: There are several flavors to choose from, and all of them go well with this recipe. You can use different flavors per piece so your dogs can have variety. If your dogs love these treats as they are, they will go bonkers over this summer goodie!

How to Make Dog Treats with Peanut Butter, Banana, and Yogurt (Vegan!)
Aside from the ingredients, you will also need a blender and fun freezer-friendly dog treat molds. If you do not have a blender, you can also use a food processor. I like using doggie bite-sized molds so they can eat the treats easily.
Once you have all of these, just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Make the Vegan Yogurt Mixture. First, add the banana, peanut butter, and berries to the blender. Blend on high until you have a smooth and creamy mixture. If needed, add two tablespoons of water.

Step 2: Assemble. Next, pour the vegan yogurt mixture into the prepared molds, ¾ of the way full. Then, grab some halved Fruitable baked treats and press them into the filled molds until submerged.

Step 3: Freeze. Finally, place the filled molds in the freezer for up to 6 hours or until they have properly set. Then, remove from molds and let your beloved pets enjoy a treat!
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, they are! As long as you use organic and wholesome ingredients that are dog-friendly. In fact, frozen treats are a great way to make them relaxed and comfortable during summer.
Yes, dogs can have bananas! Bananas can supply pets healthy, hydrating nutrients like potassium and magnesium when they are fed in moderation (because of their high sugar content.) Bananas are also a healthy treat alternative compared to others high in fats or salts.
Since these are made with healthy, low-calorie ingredients, you can let your dog enjoy a few of them a day, especially when it is really hot. However, please remember that these are not a substitute for their main meals.
You can store these Frozen Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats in an airtight container for up to three months.
Toni’s Recipe Tips for Frozen Banana Dog Treats
- Adjust Consistency: Add a splash of water or plant-based milk if the vegan yogurt mixture becomes too thick.
- Feed Pet Outside: If your dog is a messy eater like mine, I recommend feeding them outside to prevent a big clean up.
- Try Other Fruit: Aside from berries, you can use other fruits to flavor the treat. Try watermelon, apples, kiwis, and oranges. Make sure to remove the skin and seeds before using them.
