Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels
  • 2 Tablespoons of non-hydrogenated margarine (I use Earth Balance.)
  • 2 Tablespoons of agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • pinch cayenne (optional)

Instructions

  • Pop kernels using an air popper or microwave. Note: If using an air popper, follow instructions that came with machine. If using a microwave, scoop 1/4 C. of popcorn kernels into paper bag, roll top to close and microwave on high until popping stops. Repeat with remaining 1/4 C.
  • While popcorn is popping, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in agave syrup and salt.
  • Toss popped corn with agave-butter mixture to coat. For a spicy kick, sprinkle with optional cayenne.
  • Enjoy immediately.
