Agave Butter Popcorn

A sweet and salty snack that’s ready in about five minutes! Enjoy as is or sprinkle with cayenne for a kick!



  • 1/2 C. popcorn kernels
  • 2 T. non-hydrogenated margarine (I use Earth Balance.)
  • 2 T. agave syrup
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • pinch cayenne (optional)



Step 1

Pop kernels using an air popper or microwave. Note: If using an air popper, follow instructions that came with machine. If using a microwave, scoop 1/4 C. of popcorn kernels into paper bag, roll top to close and microwave on high until popping stops. Repeat with remaining 1/4 C.

Step 2

While popcorn is popping, melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in agave syrup and salt.

Step 3

Toss popped corn with agave-butter mixture to coat. For a spicy kick, sprinkle with optional cayenne.

Step 4

Enjoy immediately.
