Why You’ll Love This Peaches and Cream Smoothie Bowl

If you’re a fan of peaches and cream smoothies, you have to give this smoothie bowl a try. The key, of course, is a thick and creamy base. And when it comes to vegan yogurt, it doesn’t get much creamier than Siggi’s plant-based yogurt blends. It has simple ingredients, a subtle flavor similar to traditional dairy yogurt, and real fruit pieces. This blends perfectly with fruit from your kitchen to create the most beautiful bowl to enjoy anytime of day.

The fun part is how creative you can be with it. You can blend together some ingredients and leave the others on top. Best of all, Siggi’s plant-based cups have 3x more protein than leading yogurt alternatives, so you get a healthy dose of protein in addition to the delicious and nutritious benefits of fresh (and frozen) fruit. This makes for a treat that is light and tasty while also being satiating and energizing for a productive day! #dailysiggis  #sponsored

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, peeled , frozen
  • 1 cup of frozen peaches , or nectarines
  • 5.3 oz peach yogurt , (I used Siggi's) – vanilla or coconut yogurt also works.
  • favorite toppings ( like coconut, nuts/seeds, granola, berries, more peach, etc.)

Instructions

  • First, if needed, slice the nectarines/peaches and bananas, spread them across a tray, and freeze until solid (4-5 hours or overnight).
I don’t recommend just throwing them all in a container or bag, as they’ll freeze into a solid clump that’s a nightmare to pull apart or blend.
  • Blend the peaches, banana, and yogurt until smooth and creamy. If your blender has one, use the tamper to push the frozen fruit towards the blade.
  • Transfer to a wide bowl, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use quality ingredients: Aka fresh, seasonal fruits and yogurt you enjoy.
  • Freeze properly: Make sure to chop small pieces and flash-freeze them in a single layer, not touching. That way, it’ll blend quickly and easily.
  • When blending: A high-speed blender with a tamper works best, allowing you to push the fruit against the blades. If your machine is really struggling to blend, add a small splash of water or milk to get things moving.
  • Avoid overblending: Or it’ll melt the smoothie. Blend just enough and use short pulses for a thick, ice-cream-like texture.
  • Have fun with toppings: The sky is the limit!
