Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet potatoes have so many health benefits.  Unfortunately most folks spoil those benefits by deep frying them.  Try this easy and healthy option next time you cook up sweet potatoes. Just note, they will not be crispy.  They will be a lot more soft compared to deep fried fries, or fries baked with an oil coating.  But they are great tasting, I promise!

  • 3 Large Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper


Step 1

Pre heat oven to 450f.

Step 2

Cut potatoes peeled potatoes into fry size pieces.

Step 3

Mix spices in a small bowl.

Step 4

Place fries into a bowl, or large ziplock bag.

Step 5

Add seasonings and toss until fries are covered with seasoning.

Step 6

Place on a non stick baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 7

Remove from oven. Serve with any of your favorite dipping sauces.

      I use Fitness pal. It is not specifically for vegans, but it keeps up with nutritional value.
