Smoothies have a very special place in our hearts. What’s not to love? Preparing a healthy, refreshing, and nutritious drink in a few minutes is amazing. By now most of you might have incorporated smoothies into your lives one way or another and might have become familiar with the usual suspects.
The green smoothie varieties or the more indulgent ones containing ingredients like banana, cacao, and peanut butter are all delicious and highly appreciated. However, this berry lemon smoothie recipe is a whole different story.
With just a couple of simple ingredients, you’ll have a creamy, velvety healthy berry drink packed with robust flavors to keep you energized throughout the day. I don’t know about you but fresh fruit turned into a delectable smoothie sounds amazing to me.
Easy Berry Smoothie
A flavorsome smoothie drink during the summertime shouldn’t have to be hard or take you hours to make when you’re already sweltering from the heat. In 5 minutes or less, this recipe will give you a delightful healthy berry smoothie that is loaded with healthy protein.
Ideal for busy mornings where you want a healthy and nutritious drink, a quencher for a hot summer day, or an after-workout liquid refreshment (just add your favorite plant protein powder and you’re good to go!)
A Perfect Summer Drink
This refreshing combination of blackberries, blueberries, grape juice, mint, and lemon juice is so unique and delicious. By using frozen berries (or ice cubes) it will turn out with a kind of slushy consistency, which makes it a perfect drink for a hot summer day. The addition of lemon juice gives it an almost berry lemonade feeling which means it’s a very thirst-quenching drink.
Frozen Mixed Berry Smoothie
As always, you are always welcome to experiment with different additions or substitutions, in this case, you could replace the blueberries and blackberries with some strawberries or cherries. Or simply use mixed berries, which you can find in almost every grocery store and are super affordable. We always make sure to have a couple of bags in our freezer just to be prepared.
Frozen fruits are a great staple if you have a limited budget and you are trying to make healthier choices. Stocking up on frozen fruits and vegetables is a great way to start. Not only are they very affordable, but you don’t have to worry about an expiration date. Win-win!
Creamy, satisfying, and nutritive, this versatile beverage is not only a thirst douser and healthy drink, it’s a perfect dessert drinkable too that kids will be begging you to make frequently.
You can also keep some berries in the freezer. When the right time comes, you can simply whip them out and make this berry smoothie for everyone at home or even just for yourself! Berries are filled with antioxidants that should be incorporated into your diet because they can lower your cholesterol levels and help fend off heart diseases.
Berries are laden with Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, fiber, potassium, and folate. If that isn’t a sign for you to try this recipe so that you get all its health benefits, I don’t know what will.
Thirsting for something sugary but healthy is a hard find. With all the health benefits of this delicious berry smoothie, you can gratify yourself with zero guilt whatsoever. I didn’t know how to satiate this craving until I got my hands on this recipe. I’ll never go back!
Are you excited to try this very special smoothie? Don’t be afraid to play around with different fruits and juices, you might find fantastic drinks like this one.
